Nader making final push to get into debates... YOU HELP

Ralph Nader is trying desperately to get into the presidential debates.

Go ahead. Take some action.

And if you want to see Michael Moore get embarrassed over his complete 180 over Ralph Nader, you have to read this open letter. It has to be embarrassing to Moore to be such a sellout. But who knows?

More corporate bailouts (big ones too)

Insurance giant A.I.G. is about to get 85 billion dollars from the American taxpayer.

This is a pretty outrageous sum and is likely to be another example of private businesses hoarding all the profit they can get their hands on, while putting all the risk on Americans who had nothing to do with their bad business decisions.

It's a shame to think of all the small, local businesses and individuals who go without adequate help from the government while the irresponsible giants seem to get billions in handouts every time they call.

Too often I hear conservatives complaining about single black moms milking the welfare system for a few hundred dollars a month -- something sociological studies prove to be pretty much untrue. I wonder if they will be outraged over this near 100 billion dollar buyout. Or maybe the pending GM $50 billion buyout.

It's just sad to see that giant businesses will be protected from their bad decisions while people continue to stigmatize the individuals who are simply victims of circumstance.

Peter Camejo dies

One of our country's greatest activists passed away this weekend. It's a sad day, but we will remember him as the hero that he was.

Read the obituary.

Tina Fey as Sarah Palin on SNL

It's almost impossible for me to tell the difference between Fey and Palin. It's pretty sad how true this is, though. . .

More Ron Paul:

A little bit of Ralph:

And both combined with a little bit of Wolf Blitzer:

Paul shuns McCain, supports third-party candidates

True Republican maverick Ron Paul called a press conference to tell Americans to wake up and vote for a third-party candidate this year.

It's a nice gesture and third-parties need to take the wins when they can get them, but will it have an effect? It's hard to say at this point, but I can't imagine Paul swaying a lot of voters.

Still noteable, though.

More noteable is the fact that news organizations are talking about a backhanded "lipstick on a pig" remark than this semi-significant news story. It is my understanding that CNN reported it on it, but as of now CNN.com has the story nowhere on the front page. Business as usual.

Love CAN save the world... maybe

If you love animals enough not to eat them you are doing the world a favor.

Yes, for those of you who haven't heard, going vegan is the best thing you can do to prevent climate change.

The fact that more people aren't vegan is one of those things that makes me scratch my head. The food is delicious, it's healthy; it's great for the animals, the planet and our own personal safety.

It's like third party politics. People recognize they're right, they just don't care.
